hoppitty hop hop

I had my way postponed foot surgery last Friday, Feb 5, 2010, at Allen Pavilion hospital up in Harlem.  I have been hopping around the house all week long and can't wait to start walking and soon running again. I realized I am very lucky to have such loving parents and sisters to take care of me.  I know I am very fortunate and I thank you God dearly for all the grace he has bestowed upon me.  I know there are moments where I feel so deserted and lonely but it is moments like this that keeps me going.  Today I received a flower bouquet from work and it's a great feeling...although I hope I would land a new job during next week's interview.

Elda's Bday

Just got back from a sleepover with the girls last night in celebration of Elda's bday. It's so great to meet up with everyone again. Quick recap of last night's event, drink, jumped on bed, left hotel room, drunken Carmen ran off and got lost, got two guys kicked out of the bar, found Carmen, dance, took a cab back, devoured our box of cheese pizza, and scary ghost stories to end the night .. :)

I had the worst experience at the doctor's office today. It's so unfortunate that a lot of the doctors are only in the field for the money.

Quest for icebreaker

Today I had a near death experience. In order to review the whole story I have to go back to what happened yesterday. I had this intense craving for the berry flavored icebreaker during lunch time. So I thought it wouldn't take me long to go to a nearby pharmacy to grab it and be back to eat my lunch. What was supposed to be a 5 min trip turned into a full hour quest. Went to five different CVS stores and none had the berry flavor that I wanted. Came back hungry, depress, and empty handed. The following day, which is today, Serda, Carmen, and I decide to get together after work to grab dinner. Serda arrived late, due to some last minute work, so I decided to venture out to see if my chances are better today. Lo and behold I saw the berry flavor that I have been desperately seeking for. Eating it was like heaven. You know that feeling when you reallly want something and when you finally have it, it tastes 100x better? Well, I was a very happy girl. So happy that I joked on my icebreaker...(don’t ask me how it happened)...while Carmen just stood there in amazement.

Happpy new decade 2010!

Happy New Year!
I have been thinking and I can only remember the bits and pieces of random events in 2009.  So I am determined to start this blog  to trace all of the moments in 2010.  Anyway I ended 2009 with a bang by partying at Park (near the meat packing district) with some of my close friends and ended the night vomiting. It was a cool night but I really don't like the feeling of not  being in control of my own body.  Thanks to those who were there and may the new year bring many more memorable events.
